Firestation 69

Posted in Logan

Firestation 69 visited Logan’s preschool today.  The kids went nuts over the truck that came rolling in with sirens and lights flashing.  They jumped up and down, screamed “hurray” and “yeah” and told each other to “look, look firetruck”.  The firemen gave the kids a demonstration of their equipment, gear, fire hose, and of course the big red truck.  The entire school was lifted into the front cab of the truck and had a turn at peeking out the windows and waving.  It was fantastic!

The ocean was wild, frothy and chilly.  But the boardwalk had a lot of rain puddles for Logan to ride through.

Even on a cold day the kids had fun feeding the birds stale Cheerios and stomping on sand castles.

What’s a family to do on a damp afternoon?  After a brief hike we drove along the coast and found kite boarders.  The tide was low so Logan counted sea anemones and “fished” for sharks.
