Marlo quickly outgrew the pink hats that my aunt Mimi made her as well as the one that Heather gifted, so Carol was excited about accessorizing our Marlo.  In one night she crocheted four adorable hats, pom poms and all!  Everone is in love with these hats and they fit Marlo marvelously.  These are sure to keep Marlo warm on a summer night.

Marlo is loving the flowers in her hair and I am enjoying making them for her.  But I am loving her a whole lot more.

So what goes on at Vacation Bible School- a whole lot of games, fun and songs!  The kids are loving the volunteer teachers and the teachers adore the kids.  Each day Logan has come home very proud of a new activity he completed with recycled materials.  Some photos of Logan and Mason at Camp “Afterhours”.

Marlo, 9 weeks young

Logan’s first year of preschool came to an end today and was celebrated with a medley of songs, photo slide show, potluck and a whole lot of family and friends.  Thank you Lutheran Preschool for a loving and nurturing first year of school.  Logan sprinted into his classroom each day to greet Ms. Dede and to begin the day’s activities, and he returned home a happy, smarter kid!  It was a wonderful year filled with sweet memories and friendships.

Hey, it’s us!

Today was Logan’s last day of preschool so I had to get a few more snapshots of him in the school yard before tomorrow’s “move-up ceremony”.

Nothing like retro fun- skateboardin’ and tetherball.  Reminded me of my own summer days as a kid.  Logan met Hudson and David, his “big guy friends”, and Eli at the school playground and came home dirty, wiped-out and very happy and that is just the way we like him.  Thanks for spending your almost first day of summer with Logan.  He loved it!

Beach Party

Posted in Logan

The beach is always more fun with a lot of friends.  To bring the year to a close Logan’s preschool began the week with a beach party.  The kids had a great time burying each other, playing frisbee, and “sand sledding”.  A new lil bud, blossom shall I say, has joined the school and she is just a perfectly sweet friend for Logan and Chloe.  Logan is enamored by her pigtails and considering his admiration with Pippi Longstocking who can blame him.  Welcome Elsa you are quite a doll and much cuter than Pippi!

This morning Logan woke to find that Snow White the Silk Moth had a twin.  Seems that there were two eggs inside the chrysalis.  Two soft, fuzzy moths are now on their way to preschool show-and-tell.  Let’s hope they don’t mate in front of the kids!

A quick morning shot of Marlo at almost 2 months old

Last week Logan’s “big guy” friend Lucas gave him a silk moth egg.  Lucas’ mom, Jennifer, described the moth as a “no-maintenance” pet which seemed perfect for us.  The moths don’t eat or fly, and only live for about one week.  Their sole purpose is to produce silk.  The egg took just a few days to hatch into a silky smooth white moth.  Logan thought Snow White was a good name for his moth.
