Cheers to an eventful 2009 (the year of my Marlo) and to what I know will be an insanely adventurous 2010!  May everyone soak up the laughter, silliness and innocence of our beautiful children.

Celebrating a New Year with friendship, smiles and play

We beat the rain and the spent the day with dinosaurs, gems and lots of big mammals.  Everyone else in LA had the same idea today too because the museum was crowded but it was still a lot of fun as we hadn’t been to the museum in a long time.   The Dinosaur Encounters program was so neat that Logan had to watch the walking Triceratops show twice.  Marlo loved it all.   My favorite part was walking in the rain with the kids.

Marlo and I had a few rides from Logan and Olivia along the Long Beach boardwalk.

It was a cold morning but that didn’t stop Logan and his friend Carly from bundling up and biking along the beach.  They couldn’t resist swinging, jumping in the ocean or picking flowers for mom and Marlo.

Logan had a great time throwing snow balls, running in the snow and making snow angels.  Marlo had a taste of a few snowballs of her own.  Merry Christmas everyone!

The great thing about California is that we enjoy sunny days in the winter too.  It was a bit cool today but that didn’t stop Logan, Marlo and their cousin Olivia from playing at the beach.

Nothing like Logan squeeling “I am so excited and I want to go on Star Tours again and again!” The giant Christmas tree, the lighting of Cinderella’s castle and the tiny snow flakes falling on Marlo’s baby nose at Main Street were perfectly festive and we ended a fun day with giant hot fudge sundaes.

Only in California can you play at the beach in December.

There weren’t any Kung Fu Panda moves like last year.  Logan did his best to sing adorable Christmas carols and we loved every minute of it.
