Lo was on fire this past Saturday.  He scored five goals in his soccer game only to go on and score three baskets shortly after in his basketball game.

We celebrated Marlo’s first birthday at Disneyland where she enjoyed Dumbo, the Mad Hatter’s Tea Cups, the Train Ride, and the Carousel.

Happy people

Packing in a week of fun activities is easy to do in LA, especially with so many great museums and new exhibits for kids. We visited the Skirball’s Noah’s Ark exhibit and perused the opening of Monsters and Miracles: A Journey through Jewish Picture Books.    For anyone that enjoys great books this is a wonderful and artistic exhibit filled with original works of art that the kids can identify from their favorite bed time stories.

The best part

Crystal Cove

We spent the day at one of the most gorgeous beaches in California and the kids enjoyed meeting up with new friends, looking for hermit crabs, splashing in the rock pools, collecting sea glass, and running through the water.

I know this a tad blurry but I just love the scale of the photograph- little Marlo strutting her stuff along the beach.

A cozy end to a fun day in the sun

Looking for new sand we headed to Paradise Cove with friends and discovered a lovely alcove for the kids.  Fish-n-chips, beer in a bucket, burgers for the kids, and plush lounges made this a great day.

The day started off rainy so we headed to the California Science Center to see the new Eco-Systems gallery.  The kids loved the environmental experience in each eco-room and we loved how interactive each gallery was.  They still wanted to see the dinosaurs and mammals so we went through the Natural History Museum and let them explore on their own in the Discovery Center.

Happy Easter

We had a wonderful Easter with an Easter egg hunt at the church, followed by an adorable balloon parade, lunch with friends and a final (phew) Easter egg hunt with Logan’s buddy.
