Marlo loves her boogie board. Alden and Logan raced Marlo up and down the beach this afternoon and although she toppled over a few times and had one big wipe out she laughed the whole time.

We love the El Dorado Nature Center because it offers so much for so little! A 1 1/2 mile trail leads you along a small lake filled with turtles, dragonflies, ducks and fish. Any stick the kids find makes for a great faux fishing rod. The nature center at the start/end of the trail is perfect for kids because the exhibits are positioned for their height- snakes, fossils, antlers and magnifying glasses gives the kids lots to do.

To kick off the New Year Logan biked around my alma mater UCLA and raced across Drake Stadium. Marlo cruised around in her little car and enjoyed the fresh air and sunshine.

Cheers to an eventful 2009 (the year of my Marlo) and to what I know will be an insanely adventurous 2010! May everyone soak up the laughter, silliness and innocence of our beautiful children.

Celebrating a New Year with friendship, smiles and play
We beat the rain and the spent the day with dinosaurs, gems and lots of big mammals. Everyone else in LA had the same idea today too because the museum was crowded but it was still a lot of fun as we hadn’t been to the museum in a long time. The Dinosaur Encounters program was so neat that Logan had to watch the walking Triceratops show twice. Marlo loved it all. My favorite part was walking in the rain with the kids.
