This weekend we celebrated my friend Melissa who is due in a few weeks with her second baby boy.  Held at her Aunt’s historic home in Monrovia- a century-old home with original decor and old-fashioned hospitality- we enjoyed a relaxing and sunny day.  Melissa has a wonderfully-shaped pumpkin belly which is perfect because her garden is growing four bright orange pumpkins just in time for her own harvest.

Zoe celebrated her 4th birthday with baby sister, cousins, friends and lots of fun.  The kids enjoyed a super bounce slide and a magician who really pulled a bunny and baby chick out of his hat.

After a visit with Santa and led by a lovely 8-year old, three boys in a lighted wagon sang Christmas carols and snuggled their penguins.

Watching two tots squeal in delight at the ocean always reminds me of how lucky we are to live in the Palisades.  Mountains, beach and friends- it really is a wonderful place.
